The Plot Market Garden started in 2018 out of a passion for sustainably growing vegetables and working in vineyards as well as a desire to get into ecological farming. We humbly acknowledge that we are settlers on unceded WSÁNEC territory where we work, live, and play.

Our small farm uses electric hand tools, no-spray, non-GMO, and no-till practices to minimize our carbon footprint and improve soil health and biodiversity. Our conscientious environmental practices have made us an award-winning small business within the district of Saanich.

Our vegetables are available through our CSA program via our online store, in restaurants, and in local groceries throughout the local Greater Victoria area.

The Plot Market Garden is owned and operated by young farmers Emily Harris and Tyler Browne with the help of a full time employee and volunteers.

Tyler is born and raised in Barbados and has his business management degree from the University of Brighton.

Emily is born and raised in Victoria, B.C, and has a degree in Geography from the University of Victoria as well as her permaculture certificate from the Brighton Permaculture Trust. In 2021, Emily also received the She’s Next Grant from VISA and I Fund Women on behalf of the Plot Market Garden.

The two have also received the Saanich Environmental Award in The Business Category in 2021.
