About Us
Oloron Market Garden is in its third year of operations, providing certified organic vegetables to the south island community. We grow on one acre at Lohbrunner Community Farm in Langford on the traditional territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, and Beecher Bay First Nations.

Practices
We practice small-scale, certified organic farming. We are constantly refining our practices and crop varieties to grow the best produce in the most sustainable way possible.
A few projects we have on the go:
- We have been participating in UBC variety trials to find the best of the best of 16 radicchio and spinach varieties for quality and resilience to climate change.
- We are trialling no-till practices using raised compost mulch beds.
- We have completed BC's Environmental Farm Plan to identify and manage environmental risks on our farm.
- We have electrified equipment, reduced tillage, and practiced cover cropping with buckwheat, oats, and peas to reduce our emissions and improve soil health.
