Francis began fishing in 2010 and soon became the skipper of the vessel, Ta Nika. Julia later joined the crew and they have since operated as a family business.

All our fish have been troll caught (hook and line). This method of harvesting allows each fish to be handled individually, minimizing scale loss and bruising. They are bled, gutted and flash frozen immediately upon landing. The quick, deep freezing means the fish will retain its fresh quality; as well it is required to be considered as “sashimi grade”.
